Who is Needed

Our international aid workers are everyday people doing extraordinary things in the most vulnerable regions of the world. They respond to emergencies (natural disasters or conflict) or work alongside partner National Societies on development projects. They include health professionals, capacity builders/organizational development specialists, project managers, water/sanitation engineers, financial specialists, administration support, logistics experts, communications officers.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and direct a highly-productive team
  • Results-driven work ethic coupled with analytic and project management skills
  • A strategic and creative thinker who works proactively, and can manage competing priorities
  • Excellent customer service skills in supporting partners, event organizers, volunteers and donors
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities
  • High-level proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite programs

Working Conditions

  • Will be required to work non-traditional hours to execute events and meet the needs of donors, partners and volunteers, and during times of a disaster response and/or appeal.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.
  • This position requires a successful Canadian criminal record check, a vulnerable sector check, and a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
